Mid-Atlantic Rugby Conference

Matt "Sunny" Kaltenbach is the MARC "Player of the Week" after his solid performance against Albright College in the first match of the season.  Matt finished with 2 trys and 5 conversions. 

Matt is a senior Studio Art major, who is normally the Susquehanna outside center but stepped in to play flyhalf this season after their 10 graduated. Matt comes from a rugby family as both parents played and are coaches. He played in high school for Monmouth U-19 in NJ.He was an all tournament section at the 2016 NSCRO 7s national championships and plays 10 in 7s.

Matt spent 4 weeks this summer in Ireland with 7 other Susquehanna players travelling around and getting immersed in rugby training as part of his study away experience which was organized thru Irish Rugby Tours. The players learned many new tactics and techniques that they have brought back to their team. Matt's leadership and experience will hopefully propel Susquehanna to a successful season.
