15s Rugby

Since 2012, the Susquehanna University Men’s Rugby Club has played in 5 straight EPRU Small College Championships under head coach Dr. Jonathan Niles. In 2014, Susquehanna University won the Championship over Neumann University. The club consistently ranks in the top 20 nationally ranked small college rugby teams in the country by NSCRO (www.nscro.org). We have played in NSCRO 15’s national playoffs in each year since 2012 and have finished as highly ranked as #9 in the country for Small Colleges during that time.

7s Rugby

In 7 a side rugby Susquehanna University has been extremely successful the last five years. From 2013 thru 2016 the Susquehanna University men’s 7s rugby team won one of the 8 NSCRO 7s national championship qualifiers and played at the National Championships in Philadelphia, PA. In 2013 we finished ranked 6th, in 2014 we finished ranked 5th, and in 2015 we finished ranked 7th in the country for small college 7s. In spring of 2016, Susquehanna University finished 3rd in the NSCRO 7s National Championships. The team also participates in local tournaments such as the Kutztown 7s tournament in which they won the 2016 bowl championship with wins over D1AA Ivy League University of Pennsylvania, D1AA Villanova University, and D2 National 7s qualifier Rowan University. In the spring of 2017, the team won the Millersville 7s tournament, defeating D1AA West Chester University and D1A University of Delaware.
