About Us
Rutgers Rugby Football Club was established in 1965 and has come a long way since then. In the Fall of 2009, the club joined a Division 1 East Coast league. In 2010, the team committed to play in the brand new College Premiere League (DI-A) which was composed of the top 32 teams across the nation. After two years in DI-A, Rutgers Rugby joined the Empire Conference. As the only team in the conference from New Jersey, Rutgers represented the high level of rugby being cultivated in the state.
Playing in the Empire Rugby Conference and new coaching staff in 2012, Rutgers has recently experienced some massive changes. Making the move to the Keystone Rugby Conference in 2014, the Knights are excited to begin the next chapter of Rutgers Rugby.
