Mid-Atlantic Rugby Conference

On Saturday, November 3rd, West Chester University will play at Saint Joseph's University for the 2018 MARC Fall 15's D1AA Conference Championship. The match will kick off at 2PM with a livestream pregame show starting at 115PM.

During the regular season when these two powerhouses met, the Hawks hung on to win the match 41-33 in a game that proved to be a tale of two halves. Saint Joseph's had jumped out to an early lead in the first half and in the second half, West Chester came close to securing the comeback win.  Fans should be excited for this match as it will be anyone's guess on who will walk away with the Championship trophy!

At Saint Joseph’s, the Hawks have been led by captains Noah Niumataiwalu (’20) and George Harris (’19). Harris has done a fantastic job leading the forwards in the set pieces and throughout phase play.  Also in the forwards, tight head prop Nick Ballas (’19) has shined this year and has made several trips to the try zone during the season. Niumataiwalu is a dynamic playmaker at the flyhalf position and has been setting up his fellow backs all season long. Mikey Hoffman (’19) and Matt Riotto (’22) have been feeding off Niumataiwalu as they have each raced in multiple trys this season. 

At West Chester, the Rams  flyhalf Nick Udovich ('20) has been on fire as he is currently the leading try score for the MARC D1AA. Udovich is a tough, physical player that was also recognized by FLORUGBY as a D1AA College Standout this season. The inside center for the Rams, Ryan Morley ('19) has to be the lead candidate for the "Golden Boot" award as he has notched 25 conversions during the season for the Rams. Morley has also had some big runs to get the Rams downfield.  In the forwards, both lock Hunter Smith ('19) and prop Shane Dortone ('18) have been putting in work this season. 

Fans are encourage to come out to Saint Joseph's University to catch all the action live and be part of the pregame show!  The pregame show starts at 115PM and the match will kickoff on Sweeney Field at 2PM.
