The inaugural MARC Fall 7s series proved to be a successful and popular contest. Over the fall semester, teams from across the MARC conference competed in 4 tournaments. While some teams struggled with depth and consistency, Holy Family University and King’s College proved to be in contention for the series at all tournaments, with King’s College claiming the overall prize. Throughout the series a total of seven different teams competed, with points awarded for overall series placement in each of the tournaments. This year, the series included teams from Division 2 and 3, as well as the Wilkes-Barre Breakers men’s team. Looking ahead, we are looking to expand the Fall 7s series to include more development sides from the bigger schools in the MARC to make the series not only more competitive, but also to increase the strength of the bigger schools’ 7s programs as they try to compete at the national stage in the Spring.
