Mid-Atlantic Rugby Conference

The 2017 MARC D1AA Fall 15's Playoffs will kick off this Saturday. All eight teams will be in competition this weekend and the winners will advance to a final four Cup Championship round and the losers will advance to a final four Bowl Championship round. Both the Cup and Bowl Championship will be played on Saturday November 4th (semifinals) and Sunday November 5th (Championship/Consolation) at Temple University Ambler Campus. For the quartfinals, the higher seeded teams, Saint Joseph's and West Virginia in the WEST and Rowan and West Chester in the EAST, will host the first round. 

With all teams still alive for the prized Cup Championship, it is anyone's guess who will win it. One thing is for sure, all teams need to bring their "A" game from here on out.  Both Saint Joseph's and Rowan went undefeated in their respective divisions and could be considered the favorites. But watch out for West Chester and West Viriginia, both whom have been finding their stride at the end of divisional play.  Temple and Pitt can also get a win this weekend as they always play tough.  And with all sports, never underestimate any team as both Villanova and IUP will look to upset the divisional leaders and shake things up in the MARC. 

Fans are encouraged to get out and support their teams this weekend. And make sure you clear the calendar for November 4th & 5th at Temple - Ambler for some of the best rugby action of the year. Good luck to all teams!
