Highlight of the MARC Player of the Week

The MARC Player of the Week goes to Tamlyn Cowan of Kutztown Univeristy.  Tamlyn's performance on Saturday was impressive against East Stroudsburg.  She has only been playing scrumhalf for about a month now and seems to have adapted to the position very well.  Her ability to read the field and make decisions quickly has really helped her develop in her new role.  The seven trys that Tamlyn scored on Saturday came in a variety of different ways from opportunistic pick and goes to great support lines in the wide channel.  Saturday was a prime example of what happens when a player puts in hard work and then takes advantage of the opportunities presented to her.

Tamlyn came to Kutztown last year as a highly decorated high school player from Morris Rugby in northern New Jersey.  As a high school player,  Tamlyn was recognized as a New Jersey State All Star and participated in high level sevens competitions as part of the Atlantis Sevens program.  In her freshman year Tamlyn played the majority of her matches at blindside flanker.  However when sevens season came around she moved into the scrumhalf role.  After a successful sevens season Tamlyn took on the role of scrumhalf for the fall 15s season.

Congrats Tamlyn!!!
