Recap of Games and a Preview of Week 2

The Keystone got the fall campaign started this past weekend. Some big scores and one close game in the opening weekend. All teams will return to action this weekend either looking to keep the momentum going or to bounce back.

In the West, both Pitt and Saint Joseph's opened Keystone play with wins. It was Matt Dunleavy who led the charge for Pitt over Lock Haven, scoring four times in the match. For Saint Joseph's, Connor McAuliffe had three scores and Ryan Stickno had two in their win against Millersville. Connor Shayne had the lone try for Millersville in the match.

In the East, Rutgers shut out Villanova. Jake Whittaker, Nolan Soto, and Mike Hogan had multiple scores for the fellas from Jersey. In West Chester vs Temple, the Rams jumped out to an early lead over Temple and hung on to win 28-22. Both the Owls and Rams had four trys each but it was the Rams Vincent Fortino's golden boot that went 4/4 on conversions that made the difference.

Looking ahead, Millersville will look to rebound against Pitt as will Lock Haven who will be playing Saint Joseph's at home.  In the East, Villanova and Temple will be squaring off, one of which will hope to get their first win of the season. And lastly, Rutgers and West Chester will battle to remain undefeated.  Week Two in the Keystone should be another good weekend of competitive matches. Good luck to all the teams!
